AMA
You must have a property registration number (AMA) and it must be prominently displayed on all listings. All nights at your property will be registred with your main guest’s details. The Climate Emergency Tax will be paid acording to the type of accommodation, number of nights and time of year.
Structural Standards
Your property must be classified as primary spaces (not storage rooms or cellars). Proper ventilation, lighting, and air conditioning must be provided.
Safety Standards
Mandatory installation of fire extinguishers (1 per 100 sqm), smoke detectors in bedrooms/kitchens, and an electrical safety certificate (YDE) from a licensed electrician. Exit routes and signs must be present. Mandatory First Aid Kits labeled in Greek and English and regular pest control certificates.
Liability Insurance
Property owners must have active insurance against damages or accidents involving guests. Property owners must have building insurance.
Presentation
You must have at least for each guest 2 sets of towels for their stay and another 2 sets per guest for the next reservation. For each bed you must have at least four sets of bedsheets. For kitchens you must have a set of cutlery and dishes, plates, cups and glasses for each guest. Kitchens must have a set of pots and pans, a coffee maker, kettel, toaster, oven, hob and a set of kichen towels for each stay. Kitchen sponges must be changed between guests and there must be a set of detergents for cleaning surfaces and washing up liquid. Bathrooms must have soap, shampoo, conditioner and bodywash and at least 4 rolls of toilet paper must be available for each lavatory.

Your property is unique and has your own personal touch, however, you need to remember that maybe your personal taste is different to your potential guests’. We provide tips and practical advice on how to get the most out of each season. Photographs and videos of your property will show your property in its best light. Personal items, such as some books, personal photographs and pictures will need to be removed for the rental.
